Dr. Genaro Valladolid is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Scottsdale, Phoenix, Mesa and throughout the Southwest.
His surgical skill was refined over eight years of intensive training beyond medical school, with five years of general surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the Metropolitan Group of Hospitals, followed by a three-year fellowship in plastic surgery from Indiana University at Indianopolis.
Dr. Valladolid’s medical journey began at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California, where he was awarded his medical degree with honors, and graduated among the top five students of his class. During this time he also gained experience as a teaching assistant in basic human physiology at the university and completed emergency medical technician training at the Mexican Red Cross Hospital.
During his general surgical training in Chicago, Dr. Valladolid received numerous awards, including intern of the year for his class. At Indiana University, he studied under world-renowned plastic surgeons, learning the newest and most advanced techniques.
His passion for plastic surgery had drawn him to the Indiana University program, and it was his passion for family, friends and community that brought him back to Arizona, where he has since built a strong reputation for artistry and precision in a wide array of plastic surgical areas. His focus on cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body extends to such complex procedures as gender confirmation surgery, cancer reconstruction and complicated abdominal wall hernias.
Dr. Valladolid believes in sharing his skills to improve the lives of others, in his community and around the world. He participated in his first surgical mission trip during medical school, and most recently volunteered for the Operation Smile medical mission to Managua, Nicaragua, where he and other dedicated plastic surgeons performed numerous procedures to treat birth defects and other serious medical conditions of children and adults.
